Wives, Warriors, Holy Women and Harlots:
Female Characters of the Bible
The Good News is about God acting out of love for us and for the benefit of his beloved creation, not about what we do for him.  The only deed that Jesus said was sure to be recounted wherever the Good News was told, was done by a woman.

The women and other female figures in the Bible are not just the wives of patriarchs, kings, prophets or criminals - though some are - they are people in their own right, with their own path and relationship with God, their own agendas, fears, hopes and expectations, and their own decisions to make.  Their lives and deeds are recorded for our instruction and this series is an attempt to learn what we can from the female characters of the Bible.
